We had an outstanding sale this week at Valley Stockyard in Moulton, Alabama! We ended up with 342 head. (3-4-26)
High dressing slaughter cows mostly brought from $1.91 to $1.99 per pound, with three or four cows bringing $2.05 to $2.13 per pound. Average dressing cows brought $1.75 to $1.90. Our stock cows were on fire! We sold lots of young bred cows from $3,700 to $4,350. We had a couple of deals of really nice quality cows- and they brought it all! Feeders were steady.

• 10 head (406 lbs) at $5.53/lb – 1 1/2s, English
• 5 head (480 lbs) at $4.925/lb – 1 1/2s, English
• 2 head (348 lbs) at $5.65/lb – crossbreds
• 2 head (460 lbs) at $4.85/lb – crossbreds
• 2 head (513 lbs) at $4.55/lb – crossbreds
Heifers:
• 2 head (385 lbs) at $4.70/lb – 1 1/2s, English
• 2 head (390 lbs) at $4.50/lb – 1 1/2s, English
• 11 head (406 lbs) at $4.75/lb – 1 1/2s, English

Bulls:
• 300–400 lbs: $5.50 to $6.40/lb
• 400–500 lbs: $4.60 to $5.50/lb
• 500–600 lbs: $3.95 to $4.60/lb
• 600–700 lbs: $3.35 to $3.95/lb
Heifers:
• 300–400 lbs: $4.50 to $5.15/lb
• 400–500 lbs: $4.10 to $4.50/lb
• 500–600 lbs: $3.75 to $4.10/lb
